Cyan reports 30% revenue growth in 2025 (Cyan Digital Security)

By Patrick Donegan, Principal Analyst, HardenStance

13 May 2026

Great to see Cyan Digital Security’s press release this morning reporting revenue growth of approximately 30% in 2025 to €9.2 million:

The large majority of Cyan’s revenues come from selling DNS filtering solutions to telcos and ISPs that protect consumers and SMBs. At 30%, Cyan is growing faster than the overall market. HardenStance estimates that global telco and ISP spending on network based (DNS and DPI) security to protect consumers grew by 7% in calendar year 2025. HardenStance’s forecast that this market niche will reach $143 million world-wide by the end of 2030 is likely to be revised upwards when it is updated later this year.

There are a couple of important riders to explaining Cyan’s high growth rate. The company’s revenues are a lot smaller than larger competitors like Infoblox and Akamai Technologies. Moreover, whereas substantially all Cyan’s revenues come from DNS security filtering, many competitors sell security filtering as an add-on feature from within a much broader portfolio of DNS infrastructure, software and services. The most relevant competitor to compare Cyan to is Whalebone. For calendar year 2025, Whalebone states that its annual revenues grew by 41% on its 2024 number. HardenStance estimates that 2024 revenue number with high confidence at around €10 million.

Cyan will feature in next February’s 4th annual edition of HardenStance’s ‘Telco Strategies for Consumer Security’ report and webinar programme. Cyan’s reporting of its 2026 telco contract wins and market insights will feature alongside all the usual leading players in the network based security, endpoint security and home router security agent spaces serving telcos and ISPs world-wide.
